Meet the Bellevue Team Behind Servo Garage Doors Bellevue

We’re the crew that shows up when your garage door won’t close at 10 p.m. or when you’re staring at a broken torsion spring wondering if your car is trapped until Tuesday. Every technician on our Bellevue team is background-checked, uniformed, and trained to the same standard - but we’re also four distinct people with different specialties and the occasional bad coffee habit. What unites us is simple: we don’t start work until you’ve seen a flat, written price, and we don’t leave until you’ve seen a photo record of what we found and what we fixed.

Our People

Marcus Deller, Owner

I’ve been running Servo Garage Doors Bellevue since 2015, and I still take calls myself when the lines get heavy - which they do, especially during King County’s November freeze-thaw cycles when weatherstripping cracks and opener logic boards start failing. Before I started this shop, I spent six years as a lead installer for a regional outfit where I learned what I didn’t want to build: a business where the customer never knows the price until the work is done. That’s why Clause 1 of The Haven Standard exists. I carry a C61/D49 California Specialty Contractor license, which transfers to Washington reciprocally, and I keep it number-visible on every estimate we write. My specialty is torsion spring systems on older Bellevue homes - the 1970s ranches in Crossroads and the hillside builds in Somerset where headroom is tight and standard springs don’t fit. I also have a running feud with LiftMaster’s MyQ app updates, which I will complain about unprompted if you ask me about smart openers.

James T., Lead Technician

James has been with us since 2019, and he’s the technician we send when a job has gone sideways somewhere else - the “second opinion” calls where a homeowner brings in a $1,800 estimate for a $240 repair. He’s certified on Genie and Chamberlain belt-drive systems, and he’s particularly good at diagnosing intermittent issues: the opener that works fine at 2 p.m. and fails at 6 a.m., the safety sensor that only misaligns when the temperature drops below 38 degrees. James grew up in Renton and still lives there with two rescue dogs who have destroyed three garage doors between them, which he mentions to customers more often than he probably should. He keeps a thermal camera on his truck to spot motor overheating before it becomes a fire risk, and he’s the reason we started documenting photo records with timestamped metadata - he got tired of explaining what he’d found to skeptical property managers.

Elena V., Senior Installer

Elena handles our new door installations and full system replacements, the jobs where we’re removing a 30-year-old wood door in Clyde Hill and hanging a Clopay insulated steel model that actually seals against Puget Sound wind. She’s been installing garage doors for eleven years, starting in Tacoma before joining us in 2021, and she’s one of the few technicians in our network certified on Wayne Dalton’s TorqueMaster spring system - the enclosed, counterbalance design that most competitors won’t touch because the tooling is proprietary. Elena is also our go-to for custom work: arched tops on Medina carriage houses, full-view aluminum panels for Bellevue modern builds, anything that requires field-modifying a jamb or building out a custom header. She rides a motorcycle to work most days, which means she’s never late - and she’s never once complained about squeezing into a garage to measure a door for replacement.

Darnell K., Service Coordinator

Darnell answers the phones. That’s the simple version. The fuller version is that he’s the person who decides whether your call at 11 p.m. is a true emergency (spring snapped, car trapped, door hanging crooked) or something we can safely schedule for morning (remote battery died, keypad needs reprogramming, minor track noise). He’s been with Servo since 2020, and he’s trained on every opener brand we service - LiftMaster, Chamberlain, Genie, Craftsman, Raynor - so he can walk customers through safe manual disengagement or temporary securing of a door before the technician arrives. Darnell grew up in Seattle’s Central District and moved to Bellevue in 2018; he knows the difference between a Somerset hillside install and a Bridle Trails low-clearance job without putting you on hold to ask. He also tracks every technician’s location in real time, which is how we can text you a named technician and an on-the-way ETA instead of a four-hour callback window.

Riley P., Apprentice Technician

Riley joined us in 2024 after completing a mechanical trades program at Bates Technical College in Tacoma. They’re currently working toward full certification on torsion spring replacement - the most dangerous routine repair we do, and the one we don’t let anyone attempt solo until they’ve assisted on at least fifty supervised jobs. Right now Riley handles cable replacements, roller swaps, weatherstripping installs, and opener safety sensor alignments, plus they’re our designated “tight space” technician for Bellevue’s older homes where the garage was clearly designed for a Model T and not a modern SUV. Riley lives in Kirkland and commutes by bus, which means they’ve developed an unusual expertise in what happens to garage door remotes when they’re dropped on pavement - they’ve replaced their own twice.

One Standard, Every Job

One Standard, Every Job

We’re independently owned and operated under The Haven Standard, which means Marcus holds the local license and insurance for this shop, and we agree to work to a documented set of rules that Haven maintains and audits. Clause 1 is the one customers notice first: the flat, written price and written scope before any work starts. Clause 4 is the one that shapes how we train - the technician photographs the failed part before quoting a replacement, and the customer receives that photo record with their invoice. The 365-Day Done Right Promise applies to every repair we make, backed by terms you can read, not a handshake you have to trust.

We serve Bellevue and thirteen surrounding communities in King County. When you call (425) 696-3561, you reach a live person - Darnell during business hours, or our overnight coordinator after - and if it’s an emergency, we dispatch with a named technician and an on-the-way text. No recording. No callback window. No “call for a quote” runaround. That’s not how this works, and it never has been.
